Sergeant Oz Daniel, nineteen years young from Kfar Saba, was kidnapped during battle while defending Israel’s border, in the early morning hours of October 7. Oz was a combat soldier in Battalion 77 of the Golan Brigade (7).
Oz was a Guns n’ Roses fan and a gifted guitar player, but first and foremost he was a child of values ​​who loved people, a sensitive, intelligent child who always helped those in need. He used to love to laugh, was very attentive and optimistic.
On 25 February, all optimism was lost as the Daniel family received the devastating announcement; Oz was declared a fallen soldier of the IDF - after 141 days with no information about his fate. The Chief Military Rabbi determined Oz's death based on findings that were identified, allowing for his burial according to jewish law, despite his body being held in the Gaza Strip. Oz left behind his parents - Merav and Amir - and his twin sister, Hadar.
